Grant Eidson

CEO

Mr. Eidson serves as ERP's Chief Executive Officer and directly manages the company's acquisition efforts.

Mr. Eidson's career to date, has been spent implementing the strategic objectives of publicly traded companies and private investors in the energy sector. After joining a large Dallas-based family office, Mr. Eidson was tasked with overseeing the legal diligence required in the acquisition of royalties across multiple states along with managing internal and external partnerships formed to fund the execution of the company strategy. Subsequently, Mr. Eidson was asked to broaden oversight to include all strategic objectives of the energy investments as Chief Investment Officer and continue to expand the development of new tools and methods utilizing artificial intelligence to effect the aggregation of real property interests across the U.S. 

Mr. Eidson received his B.A. in English from Southern Methodist University where he played football for the Mustangs and his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma.

In his free time, Mr. Eidson enjoys training for triathlons and other endurance events.

Ken Scott

Managing Director

Ken serves as a key member of the firm's management team providing over 55 years of experience creating value and overseeing the operations of both multinational public companies and private investment partnerships.

Past experience includes: President of the energy investment arm of a large Dallas-based family office; Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Perot Systems, where Mr. Scott led the Energy Strategic Business Units; and DuPont Glore Forgan, where Mr. Scott served as COO. Additionally, Mr Scott founded and served as CEO of Petrus Operating Company, an oil and gas E&P company capitalized by Ross Perot, until its successful disposition to a major energy company.

Mr. Scott received both his BBA and MBA, with honors, from Texas A&M University.

Prior to his time in the private sector, Mr Scott served in the United States Army as Company Commander and Batallion Senior Operational Staff Officer.

Luis Castillo

CTO

Mr. Castillo is responsible for the technological vision as well as the overall execution of the company strategy.

Mr. Castillo has an extensive history in the energy business, including working with private energy companies, investment banks, private equity firms, and private family offices providing technical analyses of energy assets both domestically and internationally. Mr. Castillo has been tasked with implementing innovative solutions to complex problems continuously throughout his career.  Principally, this has involved collaborating with diverse teams, including datascience, finance, land, legal and administrative disciplines designing and implementing automatic tools that maximize performance of investments in energy assets.

Mr. Castillo received his B.S. in Engineering from Simon Bolivar University, and his M.S. from the University of Oklahoma.

In his free time, Mr. Castillo enjoys endurance sports, snowboarding and hiking.

Matthew Bauer

VP of Datascience and Analytics

Mr. Bauer is responsible for generating and maintaining ETL pipelines, generation models and spatial language processing for the company.

Mr. Bauer is a quantitative geologist specializing in spatial datascience in the energy and environmental industries and has authored software for workflow automation. Mr. Bauer is also involved in several projects promoting python literacy and is an Affiliate Faculty Member at Colorado School of Mines where he teaches in the Earth Resource Data Science Program.

Mr. Bauer received his B.S. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his M.S. from Colorado School of Mines. 

In his free time, Mr. Bauer enjoys camping, cycling, home projects and spending time with family.

Elias Najar

Associate Acquisitions & Finance

Mr. Najar joined ERP as an Associate in December 2022. Mr. Najar's responsibilities include supporting the underwriting, structuring and due diligence associated with ERP's transactions.

Prior to joining ERP, Mr. Najar participated in institutional asset management, investment analysis, and project management for a global publicly traded data center REIT, where lease total contract values often exceeded $100MM+ with Fortune 25 counterparties. Mr. Najar takes great pride and pleasure in conducting thorough due diligence and asking tough questions when conducting analyses of real assets.

Mr. Najar received his B.A. in Business Administration with a Major in accounting from Michigan State University.

Mr. Najar is developing a great appreciation for his new home in the Lone Star State and for America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys. When he is not working or watching football, Mr. Najar enjoys weight training and tracking capital markets.
